Jokowi: What Kaesang Has Decided Is His Responsibility

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that what his son, Kaesang Pangarep decided was the full responsibility of his youngest son.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in response to reporters' questions about the news that said Kaesang Pangarep had started a political career by joining the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"Yes, I have often said, if the children are married, they already have their own home, they already have their wives, they must be independent and must be responsible. This means that what has been decided has become his responsibility," said Jokowi at Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 21.

When reporters asked if Kaesang first discussed with him before joining PSI, Jokowi talked about his blessing.

"Yes, it's normal in the family to ask for blessings. Because I said no, I will still walk. My children are like that," said Jokowi.

Previously, a figure who looked like the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep appeared in the Instagram reelsmedia of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) on Wednesday (20/9). In that arena, a Kaesang-like figure said he had established himself to enter politics. He said that he did not have experience in the world of politics, but had a better goal for Indonesia.
