3.8 Kg Of Methamphetamine From The Narcotics Case With 7 Suspects Destroyed By The South Kalimantan Banjarbaru Police

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - Banjarbaru City Resort Police (Polres) destroyed evidence of a drug case in the form of methamphetamine weighing 3.8 kilograms by mixing it with determinantal liquid. The amount of methamphetamine is estimated at IDR 6.1 billion.

"The purpose of destroying sufficient amount of narcotics evidence is so that it is not misused by interested parties in addition to avoiding unwanted things," said Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Dody Harza Kusumah during the destruction of evidence from the transnational crime at the Banjarbaru Police Headquarters, Tuesday, September 19, confiscated by Antara.

According to Dody, the amount of methamphetamine destroyed was the largest evidence in the history of the disclosure of cases carried out by the Banjarbaru Police.

Dody said that the destruction of methamphetamine worth billions of rupiah was assuming the price of 1 gram was Rp. 1.6 million, so it could save 38,399 people assuming that one gram was used by 10 people.

"The destruction of methamphetamine is a form of commitment to prevent and eradicate drugs in addition to the disclosure of cases that continue to be carried out by personnel, especially the Narcotics Unit," said Dody.

The evidence of the destroyed methamphetamine came from four suspects with the initials RL, HM, SR, and KS who were arrested separately and found methamphetamine in different locations recently.

The results of the development of the arrests of the four suspects, said Dody, were arrested by three new suspects with the initials TR, MR, and RS, which are a network from Aceh and Bali by smuggling by air.

"The main article is suspected, namely Article 114 paragraph 2 sub-Article 112 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, the threat of death penalty and a minimum of 5 years," he said.

Dody said that his party was still developing this case and had been pursuing it, as well as setting four people on the wanted list (DPO) who were being hunted.
