Minister Of Home Affairs Reminds ASN To Maintain Netrality Ahead Of The 2024 General Election

Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian asked the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to maintain neutrality ahead of the 2024 General Election.

"In accordance with the provisions, ASN must remain neutral ahead of the 2024 General Election, do not be easily provoked," he said after attending a coordination meeting on inflation control in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 15.

He said, if proven to have violated neutrality, ASN would be given sanctions in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

"I remind you that ASN must remain neutral in the 2024 General Election in accordance with the rules, and maintain unity and integrity," he said again.

The Minister of Home Affairs invited the local government to make the implementation of the democratic party or the 2024 General Election, especially budget support.

"For the 2024 Pilkada, because budgeting uses the APBD, it is certain that this year's APBD preparation for next year must be included (budgeted)," he said.

In addition, Tito also requested that local governments can coordinate with the KPU, Bawaslu, TNI/Polri, and Satpol regarding budget needs in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"They need to ask how much and prepare reserve funds so that the Indonesian democratic party can continue," he said.

He hopes that local governments can synergize and collaborate with the KPU and Bawaslu to make the 2024 General Election a success.

"Local governments please help KPU and Bawaslu organizers, for example, operationally, the shortage of buildings to store logistics, please help," he said.
