BPBD: 18 Residents' Houses Damaged By Strong Winds In Toli-toli

PALU - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) said that around 18 houses were damaged by strong winds in Toli-toli Regency, last Saturday, September 9. Head of BPBD Central Sulawesi Akris Fattah Yunus said the incident occurred at around 19.30 WITA which caused damage to houses in three hamlets in Binontoan Village, Toli-North Toli District, which caused damage. The three hamlets are Beringin Hamlet, Beana Hamlet, and Takudan Hamlet. His party immediately headed to the location after receiving the information. "Based on a temporary report, around 21 heads of families (KK) or 61 people, 18 houses were damaged, three kiosks belonging to residents, two school buildings, and one puskesmas building," said Akris Fattah in Palu, quoted from Antara, Monday, September 11. The average house affected by strong winds was damaged on the roof and walls of the house. Akris said that the Toli-toli Regency BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) is still in the process of conducting an assessment in the field. "There were no casualties in this incident, and we are still recording for the needs of the residents," he said.

In addition, he said, currently the situation is under control and residents choose to stay in their respective homes.
