JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has just carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT) and ensnared the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) official. It is suspected that bribery has occurred related to the procurement of debris victims. Judging from the electronic procurement service (LPSE) the tender code is registered with numbers 3284469 and 3317469. The tender was written failed and repeated because no participants passed the bidding evaluation. The value of the tender ceiling was recorded at IDR 10,000,000,000. The estimated price value (HPS) reached IDR 9,999,738,030. The tender was made on December 15, 2022. However, because it failed, it was finally repeated on January 9, 2023 and used the 2023 State Budget. Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri confirmed the project which resulted in the arrest of Basarnas officials. Investigators are still investigating. "That is one of the projects suspected of being the object of bribery," Ali said in a written statement, Wednesday, July 26. Previously, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri explained that it was suspected that there was a 10 percent fee in the process of procuring debris victims. An explanation will be made during a press conference. The silent operation was held in the Cilangkap area, East Jakarta and Jatisampurna, Bekasi. From the silent activity, eight people were taken to the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

During the activity, cash was also found which was later confiscated. However, the amount has not been detailed.
