Two perpetrators of fraud and embezzlement were arrested by members of the Senen Police Buser in the area of Jalan Kembang II, RT 05/01, Kwitang Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta. The two perpetrators with the initials F alias U and MA were arrested for defrauding a victim with the initials MAA, a resident of South Jakarta.

"The method is that the perpetrator with the initials F alias U met the victim MAA through the Tinder application. The perpetrator used a fake account named Ilham 23. The perpetrator and the victim were fellow men, after getting acquainted, the victim and the perpetrator agreed to meet on Jalan Kramat Kwitang 1J, Kwitang Village, Senen," said Senen Police Chief Kompol David Purba to VOI, Friday, July 14.

After the perpetrator F alias U agreed to meet at the location of Jalan Kramat Kwitang, the MAA victim went to the location alone. The victim took the IPhone 11 cellphone to the location. Arriving at the location, the perpetrator F alias U did not come to the location.

Perpetrator F alias U then ordered his colleague with the initials MA to pick up the victim by motorbike. MA claimed to be the ART of F alias U. After picking up the victim on the way, perpetrator F then called the victim to give his cellphone to MA. F admitted that he wanted to talk to MA.

After the victim gave the cellphone, MA then clamped the cellphone in the sheet used with the condition of the motorbike while walking.

"MA then dropped the cellphone case and asked the prospective victim to take it. After the victim got off the motorbike to take the case that was dropped, then the MA perpetrator fled leaving the victim while carrying the victim's cellphone," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim, after realizing that she was a victim of fraud, reported the case to the Senen Police.

After receiving the report, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senen Police, Iptu Asep Dadang, began to investigate. After tracking the victim's cellphone and the victim's statement, the two perpetrators were arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit.

"The evidence confiscated was a black Iphone 11 and the vario motorbike used by the perpetrator. The two perpetrators were charged with Articles 378 and 372 of the Criminal Code for their actions," he said.
