TNI General Dudung Abdurachman Awarded Singapore's Honorary Military Medal On Bilateral Defense Relations Contribution

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dr. Dudung Abdurachman received a very outstanding award, namely Singapore Service Medal or Meritorious Service Medal (Services Medal), which was immediately awarded by President Halimah Yacob through the Minister of Defense of Singapore, Dr. Ng Eng Hen.

This award was handed over to TNI General Dudung at the Singapore Ministry of Defense office on Thursday, July 6.

General TNI Dudung received the award in recognition of his contribution to strengthening the defense relationship between the Indonesian Army and the Singapore Army.

Under the leadership of General TNI Dudung, the two Armys managed to increase professional interactions and personal relationships through a series of activities such as high-level routine visits, personnel exchanges, and bilateral exercises such as the Safkar Indapura Exercise and Chandrapura Exercise. This effort has succeeded in strengthening cooperation and developing mutual respect for the two Army.

For information, Kasad Dudung Abdurachman has visited Singapore from July 5 to 7, 2023. During his visit, Kasad carried out various activities including honorary visits to a number of high-ranking officials in Singapore, such as Singaporean Defense Minister Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Singaporean Armed Forces Commander Rear Admiral Aaron Beng, and Singaporean Kasad Major General David Neo.

Kasad's visit to the office of the Singapore Ministry of Defense was greeted with a military ceremony followed by inspection of troops.
