The West Sumatra Regional Police firmly denied the discovery of a homemade bomb in Apar Village, Pariaman City, which was part of an act of terror because it was found to coincide with the 77th Bhayangkara Day or July 1, 2023.

Officers did not find other motives for the discovery of the homemade bomb, let alone acts of terror. He said it was indeed a homemade bomb there to be used to catch fish.
"The perpetrator who owns this homemade bomb is there but has not been caught," he said.
The police are still pursuing the owner of the homemade bomb found in Pariaman City.
The discovery of the homemade bomb began with reports from the public who suspected that there was a bomb in a location, near an elementary school building in the Apar Village area of Pariaman City on Saturday, July 1.
"The findings were immediately followed up by members in the field by contacting the West Sumatra Police Satbrimobda for special treatment," he said.
The Jibom team from the Regional Mobile Brigade Unit (Satbrimobda) of the West Sumatra Police has secured a homemade bomb and has been destroyed. In addition to securing homemade bombs, the police also secured locations known to be close to elementary school buildings.
His party is currently still conducting an investigation related to the owner and the motive for the existence of the homemade bomb.
