Case Of Alleged Harassment Of Verbal Sugeng Suparwoto, Bareskrim Will Check AAFS Parents

JAKARTA - The alleged verbal sexual harassment case involving the Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Sugeng Suparwoto is still being investigated. Most recently, investigators plan to examine the parents of AAFS as witnesses.

AAFS is a former legislator. He complained Sugeng Suparwoto because he was considered to have verbally harassed him to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"Today, Monday, June 26, investigators will ask SF's sister as a witness," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Monday, June 26.

The examination of AAFS is said to have been carried out. He was questioned about the alleged sexual harassment last week.

On the other hand, Ramadhan said the status of this case was still a public complaint. Thus, it is still gathering clues that when complete will be increased to a report based on a police report (LP).

"So this case is still a complaint or Dumas," said Ramadhan.

On the previous occasion, the Chairman of Commission VII DPRRI, Sugeng Suparwoto, had clarified the alleged verbal harassment by a former member of the DPR with the initials AAFS.

According to him, the problem stemmed from a short message conversation in March 2022.

"In 2022, approximately in March, while reporting or complaints (to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police) were said to have been on April 10, 2023) ago. This means that there is more than 1 year, this is what happened," said Sugeng.

Sugeng said that at first he and AAFS, who were his fellow party cadres, had a telephone conversation, then continued with a short message conversation via the WhatsApp application.

"Before I got home, the discussions were by telephone. As soon as I got home, the cellphone connection was not good, so I WA (WhatsApp), WA, then he wanted to meet me. I said I was at home. If you want to meet, yes, go ahead at home," he said.

He said that his statement was then responded to by AAFS by reporting the situation.

"He stated that he was also at home. I asked him, 'What are you doing?' Answered again in the shower. That's what he said," he said.
