2 Defendants Of Money Laundering Of Methamphetamine Dealers Sentenced To Free, NTB Police Retrace Cases

"That's why we are now continuing asset data collection," he said. In that process, his party is also waiting for a copy of the decision from the Supreme Court. "From that decision later we will also study. There is also a basis that strengthens us to handle this TPPU," said Deddy. According to information from the official website belonging to the Supreme Court, cases that invalidate the Mandari and Bayu's free verdicts are registered with the case Number: 1548 K/Pid.Sus/2023. The Supreme Court distributed the information on June 7, 2023. In addition to canceling the free verdict, the Supreme Court judge stated that the actions of the two defendants proved to violate Article 114 paragraph (1) juncto Article 132 paragraph (1) Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The judge sentenced 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp1 billion subsidiary 3 months imprisonment against Mandari.

Against Bayu, the judge sentenced him to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 3 months in prison. Regarding the decision, Mataram District Court Spokesperson Kelik Trimargo admitted that until now he had not received a copy of the cassation decision of the two defendants.
