Overcome KIB Disbanded, Acting Chairman Of PPP: Our Relationship Is Still Good

Acting Chairman of PPP Mardiono emphasized that communication with the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN) who are members of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) is still ongoing. Even if it is disbanded, a decision will be made properly.

"Because we used to unite into KIB well, if we separated well. But until now our relationship is still good," Mardiono told reporters at the PPP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 29.

Mardiono emphasized that KIB would remain united in gathering ideas and ideas. "We stay together," he said.

"When later the president's choice is different, the vice president's choice is different. Well, it was only later stated that KIB was no longer united. But my hope and I believe that KIB will remain united in the future," continued Mardiono.

Furthermore, PPP also stated that it would continue to hold talks with Golkar and PAN to support Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. "There is no deadlock, yes. We are still in good communication, we are still running," said Mardiono.

Previously, PPP Deputy Chairperson Arsul Sani also stated that KIB would disband if the presidential candidate was different. However, this coalition can continue because PAN and the Golkar Party have not yet decided on support for the 2024 presidential candidate.

"But there is still the same possibility, because both the Golkar Party and PAN are still communicating with various parties, including with Ganjar and PDIP," Arsul said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 24.
