Police Arrest 2 Thieves Specialist Of Iron Fence In Semarang

SEMARANG - Police arrested two thieves specializing in iron fences in Semarang City, Central Java, who targeted the vacant house left by their owners.

North Semarang Police Chief Kompol Budi Abadi said suspects AA (21) and RP (23) had acted five times in the jurisdiction.

"It's been five times, some of them have been sold," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23.

According to him, the perpetrator used a motorbike to go around looking for the fence that was targeted.

"Going around on a motorbike, if possible, the fence that is targeted will be transported directly by motorbike," he said.

The stolen fence, he continued, was sold at a price of Rp600 thousand which was then divided into two by the perpetrators.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft.

Budi Abadi appealed to people who will leave their homes for the long term to coordinate with Bhabinkamtibmas or the RW police.
