Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said Ganjar Pranowo remains focused on carrying out his duties as Governor of Central Java even though he has become a presidential candidate. This white-haired figure will not do safaris every day to meet the community. "We are obeying the principles, Pak Ganjar is still serving as Governor of Central Java," Hasto told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 27. Hasto said Ganjar would only travel for two days a week to meet the community. This activity is mandatory because he must absorb aspirations after being appointed as a presidential candidate from PDIP. "On Saturday-Sunday, we will carry out activities as presidential candidates that have been determined by the PDIP," he said. "This communication must be with the people so that the people are involved," continued Hasto. As for political communication related to inter-party cooperation, Hasto said, PDIP will do it. They will open a dialogue in order to reach an agreement. "The party that then builds communication with the party (other than, ed). Pak Ganjar communicates directly with the people, so that the people are involved in all stages of this election," he said. Previously reported, PDIP finally officially announced Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. Megawati Soekarnoputri as the General Chair of the PDIP was officially announced.
