JAKARTA - In a new interview with Brazilian music journalist Igor Miranda, legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes discussed plans to write his new album.

The album has long been awaited by fans and is a follow-up to his 2016 solo album Resonate.

"I'm getting ready to go to the studio next year, around summer. I'm preparing the songs in the next few months," Hughes opened.

"I had a few ideas, and when I got into the studio, I was ready to go."

Asked how Resonate's album has influenced since its release seven years ago, Glenn said: "I love this album. It's one of my favorite albums. I think a lot of people around the world, rock fans love this album."

"I was at home writing this album and I went to Copenhagen and I had fun making this album. And the next album is hopefully going to be as strong as this album."

Last month, Glenn told the podcast "Iron City Rocks" about the origin of his current liquefis inspiration.

"I'm not writing about politics. I'm writing about human condition. I'm writing about how we feel, what we're going through, whether we're going through this - you know, acceptance, stay at the moment. This is a big thing for me."

"People call it awakened, revival, if you want... For me, it's all about staying present at this moment, and I'm writing about it."

Resonate was released in November 2016 via Frontiers Music Srl. The album features members of live Glenn solo bands Sryptren Andersen (guitar and co-producer), Pontus Engborg (drums) and Lachy Doley (keyboards), in addition to old friend Chad Smith (RHCP), who joined them in the studio for opening and closing numbers.
