T'Koes Prohibited From Performing Big Family Koes Plus Songs

The work of the tribute band T'Koes, which for decades performed Koes Plus songs in many appearances, had to face the ban.

As seen from Sari Koeswoyo's Instagram upload, the Koes Plus extended family stated that TKoes no longer acts as a tribute band.

Meanwhile, the four people representing the Koes Plus extended family are Sari Koeswoyo representing Yok Koeswoyo, David Koeswoyo representing Yon Koeswoyo, Damon Koeswoyo representing Tony Koeswoyo and Rico representing Murry.

Sari Koeswoyo said that they had been given permission by Yok Koeswoyo to prohibit TKoes from performing Koes Plus songs.

"Declaring that from today (Friday, September 22), the Koes Plus extended family prohibits and does not give permission to the band T'Koes to bring copyright from the big Koes Plus family and everything related to music activities and or in any form, both commercial and non-commercial," said Sari Koeswoyo.

The eldest daughter of Yok Koeswoyo said that the decision was taken to teach the tribute band in Indonesia a lesson. However, he did not explain what learning was meant.

"We are not selective. We do this so that it becomes a lesson for all of us, as well as especially dance bands wherever they are throughout Indonesia," said Sari Koeswoyo.

For information, TKoes on his Instagram account explained that they are a super tribute band from Jakarta.

T'Koes is fronted by Agusta Marzali and his three children, namely Jaru, Galih and Jim. They are often invited to perform to perform Koes Plus songs.
