Titiek Hamzah Tells Memories Of His Youth With Lies AR

JAKARTA - Titiek Hamzah is one of the people who lost the most to the death of Lies Soetisnowati Adji Rachman alias Lies AR.

As is known, Titiek Hamzah together with Lies AR and two other people, Titiek AR and Susy Nander, were members of the band Dara Puspita who were active in the Indonesian music scene in the mid-1960s.

Remembering the moment of togetherness with Lies AR when he was still actively playing music, Titiek Hamzah called the deceased a very close brother.

"I found that the replacement brother was at Mbak Lies who was closest. He didn't take care of the person, didn't take care of any personal problems, really like brother," said Titiek Hamzah when contacted by the media crew on Monday, September 18.

"The person likes to joke, sometimes I get scolded too. But, he is the older brother among the three people. My bedroom is also with Ms. Lies," he continued.

So close, Titiek Hamzah sees Lies AR as a brother rather than a bandmate. He didn't even hesitate to criticize the guitarist Dara Puspita.

One thing that is also remembered from the figure of Lies AR is his habit of making diary. During his lifetime, the deceased was said to like to record the moments that Dara Puspita went through.

But unfortunately, the distribution of Dara Puspita's journey was lost and was not found.

At that time he entrusted his suitcase to one of the people from the embassy, four suitcases. Suddenly he lost his person, finally lost his business. That's very unfortunate," said Titiek Hamzah.

Regarding the complications suffered by Lies AR before passing away to the Creator, Titiek Hamzah admitted that he did not know much. He only knew that Lies had diabetes.

"But he never told me. He just told me he was sick with sugar. There is a history of sugar in his family," concluded Titiek Hamzah.
