JAKARTA - Wahana Media Entertainment held a silver anniversary or 25th birthday on Saturday, August 26 at Kuningan Tower, South Jakarta.

Nia Daniaty became one of the national singers who appeared at the event, because the 59-year-old singer had worked with Wahana Media Entertainment several times.

"The event is ceremonial to celebrate that we have succeeded for 25 years in the music world. We invite artists who have been working with Wahana so far, and we invite The Titans, Five Minutes and Nia Daniaty to sing," said Muchtar Simanjuntak, CEO of Wahana Media Entertainment to the media crew on Saturday, August 26.

Nia Daniaty's presence is a refinement of the performances of several regional pop musicians who also performed their flagship songs.

So far, Wahana is known as a label that focuses on developing ethnic music, especially Batak. In the future, they also hope to become a forum for music from other ethnic groups throughout Indonesia.

For Muchtar, regional pop musicians must also pay attention to their economic rights for the songs that have been created. He invited many local musicians to work together to care about royalties through the development of existing technology.

"We want to educate regional pop musicians to care about their economic rights, because many of them do not pay attention to the existing technological developments. In fact, through technology it will be easier to get royalties, that's why we want to invite them to join. Wahana is here to facilitate them with the business units we have," said Muchtar Simanjuntak.

"Hopefully with our cooperation later, regional pop musicians can also get royalties as they have hoped so far," he said.
