Becoming Head of School's Paskibraka Team, Fadly Faisal is Afraid of Being Wrong and Being Insulted

JAKARTA - Fadly Faisal played in a youth drama film titled Galaksi. He plays the role of Abraham, Galaksi's and Kejora's senior who is also the leader of the school's Paskibraka (National Flag Raising Troop) team.

For the older brother of Fuji Utami, acting as the Paskibra team leader is a challenge in itself. He saw the consequences of his acting being blasphemed, even if he made a small mistake.

"Actually, it's quite a homework too, it's a challenge in itself, because if the lines are wrong, we'll be blamed. Even a mistake in salutation has definite consequences," said Fadly Faisal when met at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Monday, August 21.

Together with Mawar de Jongh, who also plays the role of a member of the school's Paskibraka, Fadly had the chance to study how the Paskibraka troop's gestures were in action. Luckily, the extras who played with Fadly and Mawar were students who were indeed Paskibraka troops, so they could learn directly while filming.

"Alhamdulillah, I was sent a video, and I asked my friend, on the D day, Mawar and I asked the Paskib guys there," said Fadly Faisal.

"So, Paskibra team as extras are those who usually raise the flag at the Mayor's Office, so I ask them a lot of questions. And I asked a lot about the right way, what to say and how to move," he continued.

Fadly Faisal also experienced another difficulty being part of the Paskibraka team because he had a slurred speech, so it was difficult for him to pronounce the command firmly.

"It was filmed during the fasting month, so my throat was a bit dry, especially when I had a lisp, so talking about command was also a challenge," he said.

Meanwhile, the film Galaksi tells the story of a student named Galaksi, the leader of the RAVISPA motorbike gang from Ganesha High School who falls in love with Kejora, a Paskibra girl at the school.

Their closeness sparked conflict with the Paskibra gang, and even bigger with the Avegar gang. The RAVISPA gang frontman sees that love makes the Galaxy weak and not as fierce as usual.

A major incident occurred, one of the pillars of RAVISPA was beaten up by Avegar's gang and he was hospitalized. Kejora is also threatened with failure from the Paskibra selection.

Galaksi and Kejora are in a confusing circle. Their love is under siege from all sides, and must be confronted with conflicts and challenges.

Premiering on August 24, Galaksi stars Bryan Domani, Mawar de Jongh, Yesaya Abraham, Pangeran Lantang, Fadly Faisal, Omara Esteghlal, Zoul Pandjoul, and a line of other young actors.
