Cita Rahayu Says Goodbye To Cita Citata

JAKARTA - Known as a dancer with the name Cita Citata, Cita Rahayu wants to return to her real name. In an interview session with the media, Wednesday, July 20, Cita said goodbye to her stage name.

"Goodbye Cita Citata, I am now back using my birth name, Cita Rahayu," said Cita Citata.

Previously, Cita had often used the name Cita Rahayu on her social media. Starting from writing the caption, to embedding the name Cita Rahayu in her painting displayed on her Instagram account.

"Back to using the name Cita Rahayu is not a short journey. This concerns a great desire to learn other musical genres. Indeed, when I entered the music world, I actually sang a pop genre song, then jazz and dangdut which was finally known as Cita Citata as a stage name," explained Cita at length.

Cita then returned to learning pop genres and often covered popular pop songs on her social media accounts. But this time, Cita learned other genres that were still kept secret.

"There's nothing wrong with being a dangdut singer. However, as a music artist, I want to be myself as is," said Cita.

Cita is currently preparing her latest single trilogy with a concept that is still kept secret. The preparations were also made not in a short time.

"This project describes Cita as it is, it's not what it is. Hopefully, the work that will be brought later can be accepted by music lovers in Indonesia," concluded Cita Rahayu.
