Timoth Chalamet Not Auditing For Wonka Film, Qualifying Because Of This Video

JAKARTA - Timothatur Chalamet was chosen to play Willy Wonka, the phenomenal character of the film directed by Paul King. Among the many names circulating, Chalamet actually got this role without audition.

Paul King confirmed that Chalamet received a role offer without auditioning. It is known that over the past few years, several actors such as Donald Glover, Ezra Miller, and Ryan Gosling have been involved with this project.

"This is a direct offer (given to Timothmen Chalamet) because he is extraordinary and he is the only person in my mind who can do it," Paul King told Rolling Stone.

"But because he's Timothatur Chalamet and his life is absurd, his performances in the SMA musical are on YouTube and watched hundreds of times. So I know from the excitement of Chalamet that he can sing and dance well," he said again.

Paul King felt that when discussing this project, the actor was attracted to Wonka and wanted to try out new talent.

When I talked to him, he was quite interested. He taps dancing in high school and he's like 'I want to show I can do it.' said Paul King.

In addition, Paul King tried to offer something different after directing the unitary film. He said Wonka film also focuses on musicals but with a different touch.

"Unlike the▁kepentingant world, not everyone is good in the world of Roald Dahl. I definitely have to play with that strange idea but I hope it doesn't damage the generation of children," Paul King continued.

Willy Wonka is said to want to have his own chocolate. He traveled for seven years until he arrived in Europe. But the struggle was hindered when Wonka met with a brown cartel.

Wonka was told he couldn't have a shop without selling chocolate but he couldn't sell chocolate without owning his own shop. One day, he meets a kid and promises to make his life better.

The Wonka film is planned to be released on December 15, 2023 in theaters.
