Safe Limit For Lelucoan Komika In The Style Of Joshua Suherman

JAKARTA - Several Indonesian comedians, especially stand-up comedians or comics, often encounter problems because of the comedy material they present. Not even a few that lead to police reports.

Joshua Suherman as Commissioner of the Indonesian Funny Council (MLI), which oversees many comedians, has his own response to restrictions for someone in a comedy.

The husband of Clairine Clay sees that the boundaries in the comedy should have been carefully considered by the comedian himself, because the comedian himself knows the audience segment.

"For me personally, the boundaries (in a comedy) determine the comedian himself. If he thinks he is off limits, he should know. Because each person has different limits," said Joshua Suherman when met at fX Sudirman, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, July 5.

Joshua also opened his voice regarding one of the comedians under the auspices of the MLI, Coki Pardede, whose jokes often lead to pros and cons. He felt Coki was mature enough to think and be responsible for all the consequences that had to be faced.

"He's been in the group for a long time, suddenly it's crowded, Bang Patrick and Bang Andri have wanted to and reprimanded him," said Joshua.

"His name is Coki, it's just being Coki. It's just that I personally don't have any views, if he's already big, I already know which one's good and bad," he continued.

Furthermore, Joshua saw that the offense could come from something unexpected. He felt that any problem could not just be generalized.

"We can't guess where the offense came from, but we have to be in more detail, the problem for the sake of the problem is different," concluded Joshua Suherman.
