Blessings Of Ramadan, Edi Brokoli Becomes More Religious

JAKARTA - Celebrity Eddi Hidayatullah or better known as Edi Brokoli sees Ramadan as a special moment for Muslims, especially for himself.

The former video jockey (VJ) tries to take advantage of the holy month which comes only once a year to become a better human being. He says he becomes a more religious figure every Ramadan.

"Like it or not (become more religious), because it's the month, right? While there are many blessings this month, so is the atmosphere," said Edi Brokoli when met at Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday, April 10.

For example, said Edi, this Ramadan he is trying to keep his prayers from falling apart, even though he admits that he is not someone who prays diligently.

"Like the simplest, I'm also not very diligent in worship. But during the fasting month, we really take care of our prayers. Because my fast feel useless if I don't pray," he said.

Not only about praying, the man who is known for his frizzy hair also sees Ramadan as the right moment to increase charity and share with others.

"A lot of good has come to us, but there is also a lot of good that we have to share with people this month, while there are many blessings, while the devil is being caged, the doors of heaven are wide open again," said Edi.

In every Ramadan, Edi also admits that he has a different experience and tries to take lessons from what he goes through each year.

With different conditions where Ramadan this time occurred in the post-pandemic period, he began to receive many offers to guide events directly, an experience he did not experience during Ramadan during the pandemic.

However, during the pandemic, Edi felt that Ramadan was a special moment to be lived with his family. For him, this moment is a unique lesson that is difficult to repeat.

"Yes, the blessings of Ramadan are different (during the pandemic). I've never fasted at home either. All my life, I've been fasting here and there, hanging out, talking about this and that, that's all. There must be a silver lining," said Edi Broccoli.
