Affirming There Is No Schedule To Check Firli Today, KPK Council: We Are Still Working Meeting
JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that there was no schedule for the examination of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri regarding his alleged meeting with former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
This was conveyed in response to Firli's statement which would fulfill the summons of the KPK Council today, Tuesday, November 14. Even though the examination should have been carried out on Monday, November 13.
"Today there is no clarification schedule," said KPK Supervisory Board member Syamsuddin Haris to reporters, Tuesday, November 14.
Syamsuddin said the head of the anti-corruption commission usually fulfills the summons of the KPK Council outside the invitation. However, this time Firli will not be accepted because he is preparing a working meeting (raker).
"Dewas is now in a meeting to prepare for the working meeting so there is no clarification schedule," he said.
Previously reported, Firli was again summoned by the Polda Metro Jaya because he was absent on November 7 yesterday. He chose to go to Aceh to carry out the activities of the anti-corruption commission and a series of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia).
"(The examination, ed) is scheduled for an additional examination or request for information on Tuesday, November 14, 2023," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Monday, October 13.
Even so, Firli's attorney, Ian Iskandar, said that his client could not attend because he had to come to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas). He claims that a letter requesting a postponement of the examination has been submitted to investigators from Polda Metro Jaya.

Meanwhile, the KPK Supervisory Board confirmed that it would not examine Firli. The reason is, he should have been summoned on Monday, November 13 yesterday.
In fact, the KPK Council called him back next week. "It has been sent (the latest invitation, ed) on Monday, November 20 at 10:00," said KPK Supervisory Board member Albertina Ho when confirmed by reporters, Tuesday, November 14.
