Indonesia U-17 Vs Ecuador U17: Time For Amar Brkic Cs. Show Off In The First Match

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team will play their inaugural U-17 World Cup match against Ecuador. The match was held at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya on Friday, November 10 at 19.00 WIB as a means of proof for the U-17 national team to show off.

Bima Sakti's team has so far prepared themselves carefully to appear in this age group tournament. The U-17 national team has even undergone a four-month training camp (TC) with a series of domestic and foreign trials.

Not only in the country, the U-17 national team also held a sparring partner agenda in Germany to sharpen the strength of the team. In the country of Panzer, Bima Sakti's foster children even underwent seven trials.

From a series of trials with the age group teams of German clubs and various other opponents, the U-17 national team packed two wins, one draw and four defeats.

These results help Bima Sakti map out the strength of which teams and sectors must be trained before appearing in the 2023 U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

Armed with the results of a series of trials, Bima hopes his team can appear focused and released against Ecuador in Friday's inaugural match.

"What is certain is that I don't want to burden the players too much. What is certain is that they are also aware that this is a rare opportunity," said Bima Sakti quoting from PSSI's official website.

"They already know their duties and responsibilities. Always focus on every game and are ready to give their best," said the former captain of the Indonesian national team.

Bima Sakti did not reveal much about what tactics and strategies he would use against Ecuador. Because, he also doesn't know much about the strength of the opponent or how he plays.

The presence of naturalized players such as Amar Brkic and Welberlieskott Jardim is also expected to strengthen the strength of the Indonesian national team. Their adventures abroad are expected to bring new nuances other than their experiences.

Meanwhile, Ecuadorian coach Diego Martinez acknowledged that the Indonesian national team had the potential to trouble his team with a fast-flowing short ball style.

Indonesia has good possession. This can make it difficult for our team in the match," Martinez said.
