Deputy Minister Of PDTT Asked To Follow The Rules After The Video Joins The Meeting Of Viral Gibran's Winning Meeting

JAKARTA - Director of Indonesia Political Review (IPR) Ujang Komarudin reminded that anyone who becomes a successful team or helps win the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) contestants must follow the rules. Do not let them violate neutrality and appear to support certain candidates.

This was conveyed by Ujang in response to a video of the Deputy Minister of Villages, Village Development, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Wamendes PDTT) Paiman Rahardjo who went viral while chairing the groundbreaking meeting of the Mayor of Solo who is also the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Everything has rules. There is a rule of game. Anyone who wants to be a state official or helps the presidential and vice presidential candidates has rules," Ujang said when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, November 1.

Ujang did not know for sure about the report. However, he reminded the officials who took part in the contestation process to follow the existing rules.

"If the rules are not allowed, no. But, if the rules don't prohibit it, it means they are allowed. Everyone must follow the existing rules," he said.

Previously reported, Paiman had spoken about the viral meeting of the video on social media. He said he was present as a volunteer, not the Deputy Minister of Villages PDTT, but the DPP Sedulur Jokowi volunteer who served as chairman.

"It has nothing to do with the Deputy Minister of Villages PDTT," Paiman said when confirmed, quoted on Tuesday, October 31.

Paiman said the internal meeting discussed the committee of Mukernas Sedulur Jokowi who would invite the Vice President Prabowo Subianto. However, Paiman admitted that he did not go down directly because he had to be neutral and could not appear.

"Because it can be subject to sanctions or penalties if it is not neutral," he said.

As for the video, the meeting appears to be held in a room. Paiman at that time was heard conveying an invitation to win Gibran, who is the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"Following up on the meeting, we agreed to help Mas Gibran in the 2024 election," Paiman was quoted as saying from the video clip.

"After what results I conveyed to Pak Pratik (Mensesneg Pratikno) and Pak Jokowi and also to the winning heads of Pak Prabowo, Mas Rosan happened to be a friend of the Deputy Minister, then we also updated directly to Mas Gibran. So that quickly, ladies and gentlemen, we want our agreement to reshape the OC chairman and the SC chairman," he concluded.
