Prabowo: No Longer Want Our Children To Pay UMR
JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate (Readpres) Prabowo Subianto said the younger generation of Indonesia must get a decent wage. It's not just the regional minimum wage (UMR).
"We don't want our children to get UMR anymore," he said when giving a speech at the Declaration of State Successors in Jakarta, Saturday, October 28.
To realize the decent wages for the younger generation, Prabowo will continue the downstream concept that has been carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
With this concept, no more Indonesian resources are being exported in raw conditions. However, it will be processed first in Indonesia. So, Indonesia will become a developed and profitable country for the younger generation.
"We want to jump, we want to be a prosperous country. We want all of you to use cars and motorbikes made in Indonesia, that's just an honorary country prosperous country," he said.
