Police Did Not Find Cigarette Butts on the 4th Floor of SMPN 132 Cengkareng
JAKARTA - The Head of Cengkareng Police, Police Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang stated that the police had not found any remnants and traces of cigarette butts on the 4th floor of SMPN 132 which was the last point for the victim's whereabouts before taking life.
"At the TKP, we did not find (cigarette butts) above. But later we will try to check again", said Police Commissioner Hasoloan to VOI at the SMPN 132 Cengkareng crime scene, West Jakarta, Tuesday, October 10.
Until now, the Cengkareng Police are still investigating the death of DR, a grade 3 student of SMPN 132 Cengkareng who died.
"Investigations from the Police continue to run until today. The witness is now around 5 people. We will review the witnesses who were at the location directly", he said.
Previously, the Cengkareng Police managed to uncover the death of a student of SMPN 132 Cengkareng with the initials DR because he fell from the 4th floor of the school building on Jalan Tawangmangu, RT 02/06, Kedaung Kaliangke Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta.
"During the break he and his colleagues were in the classroom. The classroom on the 4th floor. Then it is strongly suspected that the victim accessed the window to lead to the outside of the class. It is strongly suspected that he slipped there", said Cengkareng Police Chief, Police Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang to reporters, Monday, October 9.

From the results of the police investigation, the victim allegedly fell from the top of the 4th floor window of his classroom. The victim allegedly wanted to go out through the window for smoking.
"According to information from the location, there are people who want to do smoking activities. There are colleagues (who say they will smoke). Their colleagues there are taking information", he said.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) will request CCTV footage from the Cengkareng Police to determine the cause of death of a student at SMPN 132 who allegedly slipped while smoking from the window of a classroom on the 4th floor of the school building.
"I am also asking CCTV (to the police). We ask for CCTV and then the information is more comprehensive. We will also come for a coordination meeting", said Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), Ai Maryati Solihah to VOI, Tuesday, October 10.
KPAI also questioned the basis for the disclosure that the student with the initials DR was suspected of smoking in the school environment.
"There is evidence that cigarettes are called police? Because the evidence must strengthen, not just witnesses. So we can, we will make sure later", he said.
