Doctor Lifts 150 Objects In The Patient's Stomach: There Are Bracelets, Liontins And Earphones
Doctors in northern India were shocked, after removing earphones, bracelets, nuts, and bolts and peniti among 150 foreign objects from the patient's stomach.
The 40-year-old was treated at the traoty Hospital in Moga District, with complaints of severe stomach pain and nausea.
The doctor, who then scanned X-ray, was surprised by the presence of a metal object lodged in his stomach.
"We were surprised when reports of X-ray results came," said Dr. Ajmer Kalra, hospital director of The National News.
The patient was also decided to undergo surgery. And, various foreign objects were successfully removed from the stomach, such as earphones, bracelets, nuts and bolts, cables,LAMPs, buttons, wrappers to peniti.
"There was a group of foreign objects that we called radiopak material. After the operation, we found 150 items including bracelets, zippers, nails, nuts and bolts. He was in pain for almost a week," said Dr. Kalra.
Unfortunately, fate said otherwise. The man died of sepsis after undergoing surgery.
"He was put on a ventilator but we couldn't save him. He had stomach resistance that caused perforation, and in the end he experienced sepsis and died," he said.
This case shocked the medical world. Dr. Kalra said the hospital had been approached by researchers who wanted to include the study of this case in a journal.
Previously, doctors in the Jalore region in northern Rajasthan State removed 56 outlets from the stomach of a 26-year-old man in March.
