BTS' V Debut Album, Layover Reaches Sales Of 2 Million Kepings
JAKARTA - V BTS set a new record with its solo debut album. Layover has reportedly sold up to two million copies in a short time.
Last week, V BTS officially debuted with a solo album titled Layover on September 8. After its release, this album has sold 1.67 million copies. This figure makes V the best-selling solo singer in one day.
The gain beat the record previously achieved by Jimin, his group mate who debuted on the FACE album this year.
Today, Friday, September 15, one of the album sales sites, Hanteo Chart reported that the new album V BTS has sold 2,101,974 million copies in one week. This is the highest achievement achieved by solo singers in the history of Hanteo's sales.

With this achievement, V became the first solo artist to penetrate sales of up to 2 million copies in one week. Among the group series, V is also the only solo artist with the highest sales.
Apart from V, several groups such as BTS, TXT, Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN, and NCT Dream also reached sales of 2 million copies.
Meanwhile, V BTS started promoting the Layover album this week through a number of music shows. He also won the second trophy for the song Slow Dancing.
BigHit's promotions were massive by releasing several music videos for his solo album. Starting from Slow Dancing, Love Me Again, Rainy Days, and Blue.
V is scheduled to release a music video for the song For Us on Saturday, September 16 via the HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
