7 Teenagers Want To Fight Secured By Solok Police, Celurit And Kelewang Confiscated
The police arrested a teenager who was strongly suspected of being the perpetrator of a brawl using sharp weapons and illegal racing in Solok Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra).
"We received information that a number of motorbike convoys were about to fight, we intercepted the group immediately before the clashes," said Acting Gunung Talang Police Chief Iptu Aripin Dalimunthe in Solok, West Sumatra, Monday, September 11, which was confiscated by Antara.
The Joint Team of the Gunung Talang Police and the Solok Police Traffic Unit managed to secure 7 teenagers suspected of being the perpetrators of brawls and illegal races after conducting raids and night patrols in two different places.
Raid
The illegal racing and brawl raids carried out on Sunday, September 10 at around 23.00 WIB were in response to complaints from the public who felt uneasy because of the rampant illegal racing that led to brawls between youths.
After carrying out the raid, the police arrested 5 teenagers suspected of carrying out illegal racing and confiscated 4 two-wheeled vehicles.
The police also managed to confiscate 6 sharp weapons in the form of samurai and klewang from the hands of the teenagers.
The teenagers who were arrested and taken to the Gunung Talang Police Headquarters had the initials IM (14) a resident of Lampayo, Nagari Koto Baru, Kubung District, N (16) jorong Pasa Friday, Nagari Tanjung Bingkuang, Kubung District, KIS (18) Bawah Bungo, Nagari Saok Laweh Kubung District, RDP (18), Friday address, Nagari Jawi-jawi, Gunung Talang District and PY (18) a resident of Kayu Aro Nagari Batang Barus, Gunung Talang District.
"In addition, we also confiscated six sharp weapons in the form of two long samurai, three klewangs and a sickle. Currently, the five suspects together with evidence we have secured at the Gunung Talang Police Headquarters," he said.

At the same time in different locations, the Solok Police Traffic Unit also held a Blue Night Patrol or night patrol as an effort to provide a sense of security to the public using the highway.
Kasatlantas Polres Solok AKP Dian Jumes Putra added, from the patrols carried out, officers also managed to secure 2 youths carrying long samurai and sickles.
"The two youths who carried sharp weapons were residents of Koto Baru, Kubung District," said Dian.
In order to prevent brawls and illegal races, the Solok Police Traffic Unit officers then continued their patrols and carried out security at the intersection of the Nagari Selayo bypass, Kubung District.
"During patrol activities from 21.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB, the traffic atmosphere on this route is in a safe and smooth condition," he said.
