Former Treasurer Of Praya Hospital Sentenced To PT NTB Judge More Heavy To 5 Years In Prison
The Panel of Judges at the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Court sentenced the defendant to corruption in the management of funds from the regional public service agency (BLUD) for the 2017-2020 period, Baiq Prapningdiah Asmarini, the former treasurer of the Praya Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for five years in prison.
According to official data accessed on the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) page of the Mataram District Court, the panel of judges at the appeal level handed down such a verdict by self-trialing the Baiq Prapningdiah case.
In the verdict, the judge sentenced him to five years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 3 months.
The panel of judges, led by Cening Budiana with the four member judges, handed down a verdict by stating that the defendant's actions were proven to have violated the first primary cumulative charge and the second cumulative indictment of the second alternative to the public prosecutor.
The indictment relates to Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 12 letter e jo. Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Regarding the state losses that appeared in this case, the defendant Muzakir Langkir had been charged. The value of the losses charged to the defendant who acted as Director of the Praya Hospital reached Rp1.26 billion.

The court's decision at the appeal level for the defendant Baiq Prapningdiah is higher than the first-degree court decision which sentenced him to 1.5 years in prison and a fine of IDR 50 million, subsidiary to 2 months in prison.
The difference is also seen from the application of the criminal article. In the first instance court decision, the judge stated that the defendant's actions violated Article 3 and Article 11 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
