Stabs Fellow Seprofession's Neck, Scavengers In Tangerang Arrested In A State Of Drunkness

TANGERANG - Police arrested a scavenger with the initials MAL (30) who was suspected of stabbing to death his colleague, TR (29).

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho said the incident occurred in a used goods stall, on Gurame Street, Karawaci, Tangerang City, Sunday morning, September 3.

"The perpetrator, MAL (30), was arrested moments after the incident," Zain said when confirmed, Monday, September 4.

Zain explained that the incident began when the perpetrator intended to find his friend with the initials IP. However, he failed to find the person he was looking for.

Furthermore, he found TR sleeping. It was not explained what the direction of the conversation was, both of them quarreled until the stabbing finally occurred.

"There was a verbal altercation between the victim and the perpetrator, then the perpetrator took a knife on the table, and immediately stabbed a knife into the victim's back of the neck," he said.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately his life could not be saved or declared dead.

Regarding the motive for the murder, said Zain, his party was investigating first.

"The motive is still being investigated by the investigative team, the perpetrator was in a drunken state when he was arrested," he said.

Now the perpetrator has been taken to the Tangerang City Metro Police. He was named a suspect and charged with 354 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 9 years in prison.
