Tanjungkarang District Court Lampung Holds First Session Of 4 Defendants In TIP Case
BANDAR LAMPUNG - Tanjungkarang District Court (PN), Bandarlampung, held the first trial of a criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with four defendants.
The defendants, namely Dwiki Wenilton, Irsyad Taufiqurahman, Linda Prihandayani, and Anggy Noviantari, underwent a trial chaired by the Chief Justice of the Tanjungkarang District Court Samsumar Hidayat along with two members namely Firman Gaddafi Tjindarbumi and Aria Verronica.
The Public Prosecutor (JPU) Juli Antoro Hutapea who read out the indictment in the trial of the case, namely accusing the defendants with multiple articles, namely Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning the eradication of TIP in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, Article 81 in conjunction with Article 69 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 18 of 2017 concerning the protection of Indonesian migrant workers in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 53 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

The TIP case is the delegation of the Lampung Regional Police, which is the disclosure of a case that was carried out in June 2023.
"At that time, four suspects were found to be TIP perpetrators with the recruitment mode of several people from West Nusa Tenggara to become prospective Indonesian migrant workers who would be sent to several countries in the Middle East," said Juli Antoro.
