Golkar-PAN Close To Prabowo, Megawati Asks PDIP Cadres To Strengthen Grass Roots
PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri advised to strengthen grassroots. This directive was conveyed after the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN) declared Prabowo Subianto a presidential candidate (candidate).
Hasto revealed that initially he communicated with Megawati to convey that there were party activities that received certificates of appreciation from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) and the World Indonesian Record Achievement Institute (Leprid). Then, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia questioned the declaration of the Golkar Party and PAN.
"Incidentally at that time there was a declaration event from Golkar, PAN and PKB that built cooperation with Gerindra. Then you asked me 'can you see the event or not?' 'I see mothers. Is the mother's direction in responding to the cooperation of political parties?'," said Hasto imitating Megawati's statement quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, August 15.
"The mother answered is'strengthen the grassroots. Go down together with the people, strengthen grassroots because for PDI-P the political politics is not high, the real politics (true politics) is in the grass root (roots)," he continued.

This directive is considered in line with the activities of health checks, treatment, and distribution of free reading glasses in 435 villages throughout Bogor Regency which were held today. According to him, the event, which was initiated by the member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDIP faction, Adian Napitulu, was a form of political work for the people.
Not only that, these activities are also considered as a momentum to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. "We have flown white with a struggle that is not easy, with sweat and tears, with the sacrifice of our soul and body," he said.
"That's why let's use momentum to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Indonesia with the spirit of Indonesia who is independent. Because only the nation that dares the fate of the nation and the fate of our own homeland will stand strong. That's a message from Bung Karno before reading the text of the Proclamation," he concluded.
