Bogor Police Are Still Investigating The Motive For The Shooting Of Bripda IDF

Bogor Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting of Police Brigadier Dua Ignatius Dwi Frisco Sirage or Bripda IDF (20), even though the local police have carried out a reconstruction.

"We are still investigating the motivation, what is certain is that criminal law is material law," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police AKP Yohanes Redhoi Sigiro as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 8.

The police emphasized that they prioritized the proof of the criminal incident, namely through reconstruction to clarify the material and criminal events that occurred.

Regarding whether or not there was an element of intent, according to him, it will be proven in court.

"However, in the facts of the investigation until now, based on the testimony of witnesses and suspects, as well as reconstruction, so far we have not found any problems between the suspect and the victim," he said.

Sigiro ensured that the Bogor Police were still trusted to investigate the case.

"We think that until now, God willing, we will be trustworthy and will carry out this investigation professionally based on SCI or scientifically, not based on assumptions," said Sigiro.

The Bogor Resort Police reconstructed 75 scenes of the shooting of Bripda IDF at the Police Flats, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Sigiro explained that the reconstruction process which was carried out behind closed doors on Monday (7/8) afternoon and evening was demonstrated by two suspects, Bripda IMS and Bripka IG.

"There were two suspects who were present and were not replaced. Then also the original witnesses, none of them played a substitute role. Only the victims were indeed played by the replacement role," said Sigiro.

According to him, the 75 scenes were demonstrated in detail, ranging from pouring drinks that were in arrears, to suspects who wanted to escape from the Flats after the shooting.

Previously, Bripda IDF was shot dead by an illegal homemade firearm on Sunday (23/7) at the Police Flat, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Two members of the National Police from the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police have been named as suspects, namely Bripda IMS and Bripka IG. Both were declared to have violated the code of ethics for the category of serious violations and the criminal act of Article 338.

Bripda IMS is subject to Article 338 or Article 359 of the Criminal Code and/or Law Number 12 of 1951. Meanwhile, the suspect Bripka IG is subject to Article 338 in conjunction with Article 56 and/or Article 359 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 56 of the Criminal Code and/or the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951.

Both face the death penalty, or life imprisonment or a temporary prison sentence of up to 20 years.
