Junior High School Student Who Criticizes Mayor Apologizes, Jambi City Government Withdraws Report
Jambi City Government will withdraw the report against SMP Syarifah student Fadiyah Alkaff, the Jambi Mayor's critic. The junior high school student's apology became the basis for withdrawing the report to the police.
"Since Sunday, June 4, 2023, the TikTok account on behalf of @fadiyahalkaff has made an apology on the account," said Head of the Legal Section of the Jambi City Government M Earthquake Alwajon, as reported by Kompas.com, Tuesday, June 6.
According to the earthquake, the Jambi City Government from the start only wanted junior high school students to criticize via the TikTok account @fadiyahalkaff to apologize.
"We have fully submitted the process of completing the administrative case to the Jambi Regional Police," said the Earthquake.
Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Directorate 5 of the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus, Kompol Andi Purwanto, said that the case of the ITE violation of junior high school students, Syarifah, would not continue.
"Kasus tidak dilanjutkan, karena kami akan melaksanakan restorative justice," ujar Andi.
Junior High School Student Syarifah Fadiyah protested the activities of the company that damaged her grandmother's house. Fadiyah made a number of videos criticizing Jambi Mayor Syarif Fasha and one of the companies for allegedly violating Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2017 concerning Road Transportation.
According to Fadiyah, the violation of the Jambi City Government and the company, after the signing of the memorandum of cooperation with letter number 02/PKS/HKU2019.
"I voiced for justice from my grandmother, a Indonesian freedom fighter who was wronged by her house and wells, which was damaged many times by Chinese companies in collaboration with the irresponsible Jambi City Government," said Fadiyah.
