Ganjar Pranowo Invites Heads Of Villages Throughout Central Java To Speed Up The Target Of Reduction Of Extreme Poverty
Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is trying to achieve the target of reducing extreme poverty at the end of his term of office. Village heads throughout Central Java to become the spearhead they rely on in achieving this target.
This was conveyed by Ganjar after the Village Head's Sarasehan throughout Central Java with the theme Gotong Royong Building Village Independence at the Jatidiri Sports Center, Semarang, Monday, June 5. In the event, more than 15 thousand village heads, village secretaries, and village officials were collected.
"Because Gus Yasin and I are already at the end of our term of office until September, we still have homework to do," said Ganjar.
In addition to pursuing the target of reducing extreme poverty, Ganjar Pranowo also reminded the village heads about the stunting rate that caught the attention of President Joko Widodo.
The governor of Central Java for the two periods does not deny that the Covid-19 pandemic has a strong impact on increasing poverty and other problems. So, it is hoped that this moment will be a stepping stone to solve the problem.
"We must not give up, now it is this short time with our village head friends that we invite us to work together to accelerate," he said.
On that occasion, Ganjar said that from 2013 to the end of 2023, more than Rp. 8 trillion in financial assistance for villages had been disbursed. As for 2023, the total village financial assistance disbursed is around Rp. 1.9 trillion.
"We want to manage one, governance, not corruption. Two, the quality is good. Three, useful for solving problems in society," he said.
Ganjar gave an example of the success of Sepakung Village. Thanks to his creativity in village management, Sepakung Village is now a digital village.
Those who used to be really villages without internet, because of the creativity of their villages he bought bandwidth from providers, then managed by BUMDes, then sold to the public and today is extraordinary, good development, there are lots of tourists. This is one example," he said.
Also attending the event were Kajati Jateng I Made Suanarwan, Kabinda Jateng Brigadier General Sulaiman, Representatives of the Central Java Regional Police and Kodam IV Diponegoro, as well as the ranks of the Head of the Central Java OPD.
