Jokowi's Sacrificial Cow To Be Cut In Baubau City Has A Weight Of 1 Ton
KENDARI - The assistance of the sacrificial cows of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo for Southeast Sulawesi Province for Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri is known to be Limousine and weighs 1 ton.
Head of the Food Crops and Livestock Service or Distanak Sultra La Ode Muhammad Rusdin Jaya in Kendari, Saturday said that for the President of the Republic of Indonesia's cattle in accordance with a letter from the presidency as many as one person was in Konda District, South Konawe Regency (Konsel), Southeast Sulawesi.
"So, we are already in Konda District, we weigh approximately one ton," said La Ode Muhammad Rusdin Jaya.
The former Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Development Bureau explained that the slaughter of one cow belonging to the President of the Republic of Indonesia will later be carried out in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi.
"But for the location of the cow's source in South Konawe, Konda District," said La Ode Muhammad Rusdin Jaya.
He mentioned that the cows donated by President Joko Widodo were Limousine, which was purchased for Rp. 100 million.
"Meanwhile, the price is approximately Rp. 100 million," he explained, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 27.
In line with that, the Head of Livestock and Animal Health Division of the Southeast Sulawesi Distanak, La Ode Muhammad Jabal, said that the cow had been checked for health and deserved to be sacrificed during the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebration of 1444H/2023 M.
He added that the limousine-type cattle purchased by the President of the Republic of Indonesia were purchased from one of the cattle breeders in Morome Village, Konda District, Konsel Regency.
"He is 4 years old from a farmer in Morome Village, Konda District, Konsel Regency," added La Ode Muhammad Jabal.
Meanwhile, cow farmer Edi Adrianto admitted that he did not expect his cow to be chosen to be the number one sacrificial animal in Indonesia. He proposed his cattle to the Southeast Sulawesi Distanak together with two other breeders.
"We submitted yesterday's proposal maybe about a month ago, which assessed that it was from the service, there were several choices of cows but the cattle here were chosen. Maybe one of them is because of the weight of the cows," said Edi Adrianto.
