Receive 'Ketok Palu' Money, 5 Former Jambi DPRD Members Detained By KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained five former members of the Jambi DPRD today, Monday, May 8. The detention was carried out because they were suspected of taking bribes related to the ratification of the Jambi Province Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBD) draft (RAPBD) in 2017-2018.
"The investigative team has again detained five suspects with their respective detention periods for the next 20 days, starting from May 8, 2023 to May 27, 2023," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, May 8.
Five former DPRD members detained by Nasri Umar, Abdul Salim Haji Daud, Djamaluddin, Muhammad Isroni, and Hasan Ibrahim. Furthermore, Asep said, there are 13 suspects who are now waiting for their turn.
"KPK again reminded the suspects in question to be cooperative in attending the schedule for the next summons by the investigative team," he said.
The suspects are suspected of receiving Rp200 million as a share of the hammer stock for the ratification of the Jambi RAPBD. The receipt is thought to have come from a businessman named Paut Syakarin.
Asep said this case was the development of alleged bribery by former Jambi Governor Zumi Zola. He is known to have provided several projects at the Jambi Provincial Government Public Works Service (PU) to Paut as a reciprocity of the giving of the hammer.
