The Minister Of PUPR EMPHASIZED That There Was No Order To Clean Up Damaged Roads In Lampung Ahead Of Jokowi's Arrival
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized that there was no rapid repair order on damaged roads in Lampung following the planned arrival of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Wednesday, May 3.
"Oh no, no. There has been no such order. But surveys are yes, maybe because of what the President wants to visit. But I believe the implementation is that there has been no order," said Basuki at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 2, which was confiscated by Antara.
Basuki said it was possible that the team from the road hall in Lampung only conducted a survey for the road that President Jokowi would review, not make repairs. Moreover, there is no Budget Implementation List (DIPA) for repairing the damaged road.
"It's not possible. Where did he come from?? The Presidential Instruction already has a DIPA, "said Basuki.
According to Basuki, President Jokowi's visit to Lampung was to review the viral damaged road in Lampung. The President wants to know whether the local government's policies are correct or not in overcoming the road problem.
President Jokowi's move to check the road in Lampung was due to information that went viral on social media that many roads in Lampung were damaged so that development in the province often stalled.
"Because of that, if it is on social media (social media) it is crowded, we will check the truth of the policy, the policies of the local government in handling it," said Basuki.
