Cipali Toll Manager Installs A Barrier In The Semburan Fire Area
SUBANG - The manager of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road installed a 156-meter spandex shield fence around the food court area to localize the area affected by the flare at rest area KM 86 B.Cipali Operational Director of Astra Tol Cipali, Agung Prasetyo, said that until now his party has continued to handle the occurrence of flares in the rest area of KM 86 B. "Since last night we installed a spandex shield fence at the location of the flare with a distance of 4-5 meters from the location closest to the fire source," Agung was quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 27 April. This was done after his party coordinated with the Subang Police, West Java Police, BPBD, and Pertamina. "If necessary, we will also look for experts related to the process of extinguishing this flare which is in accordance with the results of coordination and recommendations of related parties," said Agung. Meanwhile, the flames were still occurring at the hotspot at the rest area of KM 86 B of the Cipali Toll Road. His party has continued to make efforts to extinguish the fire since the incident occurred on Wednesday 26 April. He mentioned that the flare was not derived from the excavation of a new drill well. We have never carried out excavation of a new drill well at the rest area of KM 86 B Tol Cipali," he said. According to him, the burst of the flame comes from the existing drill well which is commonly used for daily operational needs in the rest area of KM 86 B. "Previously, we carried out the installation of the connecting pipe as an effort to increase the capacity of the submersible pump to improve the rest area service of KM 86 B," he said. Since Wednesday (26/4) the fire suppression effort was carried out together with related parties namely the West Java Mineral Energy and Resources Service (ESDM), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Subang Fire Department (Damkar), Subang Police, and also assisted by the Pertamina team. He mentioned that there were no explosions in that event, only fire bursts. Since Wednesday (26/4) the KM 86 B Toll Road Cipali was temporarily closed following the occurrence of such bursts.
