Nintendo Switch Console Successfully Sold More Than 129 Million Units In The World

JAKARTA - Nintendo recently announced that the Japanese company managed to sell 129.53 million Nintendo Switch units worldwide until June 2023.

It can be said that the number of Nintendo sales has increased, from the previously sold 125.62 million units at the end of the previous quarter.

Nintendo's Q1 fiscal financial report found by GamingBolt also revealed that during that period (April-June), Nintendo sold 3.91 million Switch units, up 13.9 percent from what was managed in the previous fiscal year Q1.

Although sales for the basic Switch and Switch Lite models fell, 51.3 percent and 26.7 percent, respectively, the OLED Switch model experienced an 83.6 percent YoY increase in sales.

A total of 52.2 million units of software were also sold on the Switch during the quarter, which was an increase of 26.1 percent YoY. That's largely attributed to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which has now sold more than 18.5 million units.

Nintendo also revealed updated sales figures for the ten best-selling first party titles on the Switch, where Tears of the Kingdom has become the number 9 best-selling game on its platform.

In addition, Nintendo is also rumored to be releasing a next-generation switch console in 2024. Although details are not yet known, the source who told VGC confirmed that the console would be a portable model.
