JAKARTA - YouTube is again bringing a new feature based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to voice or dubbing. This feature will help creators to translate videos into various languages automatically.

In collaboration with AI's clubbing service, Aloud, which is part of Google's 120 Area startup incubator. This feature will make it easier for creators to reach a wider international audience.

The company stated that the AI clubbing feature is now being tested on hundreds of content creators around the world. The tool will mark the second major feature related to the multilanguage dubbing launched by YouTube this year.

As it is still under trial, the new AI clubbing feature is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with YouTube planning to offer additional languages at a later date, including Indonesian.

How to Use YouTube's Dubbing AI Feature?

1. Aloud will first page the full transcript of the video creator.

2. There, the creator can then simply review or edit the text described as they wish.

3. After editing, Aloud will then translate and create a video creator dubing AI according to the available language.

4. Subsequent creators can publish their videos on YouTube.

For information, currently Aloud provides the feature for free on its website, which is separate from the tools YouTube is currently building into its platform, but is still on the waiting list.

"(In the future YouTube is) working to make the translated audio track sound like the sound of the creator, with more expression and lip synchronization," YouTube VP of Creator Products Amjad Hanif told The Verge, quoted Monday, June 26.

"These features are planned to be launched around 2024," he added.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
