JAKARTA - On Spotify, we can follow someone to display their activity in the feed. You can also look at the person's playlists to reference music you might like.
If you can follow someone, then you can also block other users there. By blocking other users, you will stop them from seeing your profile and activity on Spotify.
But, if you don't know how to block someone on Spotify, see the tutorial that VOI will provide below.
How to Block Someone on Spotify
Keep in mind that when you block another user on Spotify, that person will no longer be able to follow you, or see your profile, playlists, or listening activity.
If that person is following you, and you block them, then Spotify will remove them from your list of followers. However, you will still be able to view their profile, unless they also block you.
Blocking someone on Spotify, whether on desktop or mobile, is the same. Follow these steps:
- Go to the profile of the user you want to block first, by entering their name into the search tab or selecting the user from the Friend Activity section
- Once logged in to that user's profile, select the three horizontal dots (more options)
- Select Block
- Click Block again to confirm

People you block will not receive a notification that you have blocked them.
How to Unblock Someone on Spotify
If you change your mind and want to unblock that user again, you can easily unblock them whenever you want. Here's how:
- Navigate to their profile
- Select three horizontal dots (more options)
- Select Unblock
It should be noted that if this user was following you before you blocked them, unblocking them will not automatically make them follow you again.
