JAKARTA - Women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung successfully defeated her compatriot Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi to reach the quarter-finals of the 2023 Badminton Asia Championship (BAC).
Gregoria qualified after a dramatic three-game win 15-21, 21-13, and 21-18 at Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Al Nasr Club, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Thursday, April 27, 2023.
In the next round, Gregoria will face the winner of the third seed from China Chen Yufei against Japan's representative, Aya Ohori. The two representatives have not played when this news was written.
