Disappointed When Beaten By Newcastle, Tottenham Players Initiative To Change Fan Tickets

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur players took the initiative to compensate fans who had bought tickets and came to St James Park Stadium.

In the match in the 32nd week of the Premier League, The Lilywhites came home with their faces down. The reason is, their goal was broken six times by the hosts.

While they can only reply once through Harry Kane's execution in the 49th minute.

The initiative was carried out by Spurs players as a form of apology because they have disappointed loyal supporters. The compensation statement was officially announced via Tottenham Hotspur's social media account.

"As a team, we understand you (fans) are frustrated. We appreciate your support in either home or away games. With this, we intend to change ticket fees at St James' Park," Tottenham wrote on their official Twitter account, quoted on Wednesday, April 26.

However, the players feel that the disappointment that arises in the hearts of fans will not be proportional to the replacement they provide.

"This is bad. We are aware that words are not enough for a situation like this. Defeat like this is painful. We also know this has not changed anything from last weekend's defeat," the statement continued.

Even though the team's situation sounds sad, the players don't want to be late. In the same statement they expressed great enthusiasm to be able to rise in the next match against Manchester United on Friday, April 28 in the morning WIB.

They invited supporters to rise up and ask for full support in an effort to make up for defeat. The Lilywhites promised to give everything in order to aim for victory to be presented to fans.

"We will give everything to improve the situation against Manchester United. Your support is very valuable to us. Together and only together, we can rise," concluded Spurs' statement.
