KPK Says TNI Commander Has Commitment To Brush Up Corruption Members

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) claims to have been approved by the TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono to brush off soldiers who practice rasuah. The permit was granted when KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri held a closed meeting on Wednesday, August 2.

"If then there are TNI elements, for example, who commit criminal acts of corruption, the TNI Commander is also committed not to protect and in fact there will be cooperation with the TNI Puspom," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, August 4.

Ali said the blessing was given because the KPK conducted a joint investigation with the TNI in the bribery case of the National SAR Agency (Basarnas). Thus, future cooperation will be carried out.

"So it has the same vision and mission in efforts to eradicate corruption, of course," said Ali.

Previously, the KPK revealed that it had held a meeting with the TNI Commander, Admiral Yudo Margono, after the Basarnas arrest operation (OTT). The enforcement activity had a polemic because the Head of Basarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto were suspects in receiving bribes.

In this case, the alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services at Basarnas was revealed through a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Tuesday, July 25. From this active action, the KPK announced five people as suspects.

The five suspects are Kabasarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto as suspects for receiving bribes. Meanwhile, as the giver is the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati, Mulsunadi Gunawan (MG), President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya and President Director of PT Kindah Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.

Currently, Henri and Afri are being worked on by POM TNI and have now been thrown into custody. Meanwhile, three private suspects were detained at the KPK detention center.

The KPK said Henri received a fee referred to as a command fund of Rp. 88.3 billion from the private sector from 2021-2023. This acceptance was made through Afri as his subordinate.
