BOGOR - The police implemented traffic engineering in the form of an odd-even system (gage) during the Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri long holiday from Tuesday 27 July to Sunday 2 July 2023.

KBO Satlantas Bogor Police Iptu Ardian Novianto said the implementation of the gage itself would be enforced the day before the Eid al-Adha holiday, namely on Tuesday, June 27 afternoon, at 15.00.

"Starting today, Tuesday afternoon at 15.00, then Gage in the morning starts Eid al-Adha on Wednesday-Thursday, Friday, weekend to Sunday," Adrian told Voi.id, Wednesday afternoon.

He said, odd-even engineering will also be combined with a one-way system if it is quite situational.

"According to Permenhub Number 84 of 2021, odd-even to the Puncak tourist area is enforced one day before the national holiday," he added.

Ardian also explained that later on guard, a large vehicle would be checked that passed by related to the assignment letter.

"At the time of the truck's vehicle, if there is official activity, we will also see the assignment letter if there is service at the top," he said.

There will be at least 150 joint personnel from the Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, TNI and BPBD and 100 personnel from the traffic who will guard the Eid al-Adha holiday later.

"Starting Tuesday afternoon until Sunday morning, odd-even is carried out so that the departure time please adjust to the vehicle number plate according to the departure date," he said.

In addition, Ardian also appealed to the public to pay attention to the health of vehicles before traveling to peak areas and pay attention to other possibilities.

Mainly at constraint points such as Sand Muncang, Megamendung, Cisarua Market, queues often occur because the flow of vehicles is quite high, then the characteristics of the majority of the incline peak lanes must use prime vehicles, either passenger cars or freight transportation, "he appealed.
