TIP Syndicate Mode, Lure To Shop Employees But Instead Becomes ART To Prostitutes

JAKARTA - The National Police's Trafficking Crime Task Force (TPPO) handles 190 police reports (LP) throughout Indonesia. Of the hundreds of cases, the perpetrators often make Indonesian citizens (WNI) as household assistants (ART) to commercial sex workers (PSK) abroad.

"Based on the number of modes carried out, among others, the most illegal migrant workers or PMIs or Household Assistants, the number is 157, then the modus operandi is to use 3 crew members, the mode of being used as prostitutes is 24 people," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Monday, June 12.

Using this mode, there were 824 people who were almost victims. They consist of 370 adult women, 42 girls, 389 adult men, and 23 boys.

Hundreds of people were deceived by the perpetrators. This is because they are offered to work as shop employees or restaurant employees with high salaries.

"This mode he was promised to work but the implementation has been or is lured to become a worker, this is a fact that is not like that," he said.

Meanwhile, in handling it, 212 people have been named as suspects.

From reporting data, the most TIP cases occurred in West Java. It is recorded that there are 36 police reports to date.

Meanwhile, Bareskrim Polri received 15 reports, North Sumatra Regional Police 7 reports, West Sumatra Police 4 police reports, and Riau Police 4 reports.

Then, the Riau Islands Regional Police received 5 reports, the Jambi Regional Police 3 reports, the South Sumatra Regional Police 3 reports, the Bengkulu Regional Police 5 reports, and the Lampung Regional Police only 1 report for now.

Then, the Banten Police also received 5 reports related to TIP, as well as the Polda Metro Jaya which received 4 reports. Central Java Police 25 reports, East Java Police 4 reports.

Furthermore, the Bali Regional Police and the NTB Regional Police each have 4 reports, the NTT Regional Police 5 reports, the West Kalimantan Regional Police 26 reports, the East Kalimantan Regional Police 25 reports, the South Sulawesi Regional Police 2 reports, the North Sulawesi Regional Police 1 report, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police 1 report, and the Papua Regional Police 1 report.

"136 of them have entered the investigation stage. Then, 24 others are in the investigation stage," said Ramadhan.
