Mosque Management Almost Becomes Victim Of Fraud Of Catut Religious Grant Funds Named Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor

The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government (Kalteng) has asked the public to be aware of the fraudulent mode of disbursing religious aid grant funds for houses of worship bearing the names of Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) Edy Pratowo and Regional Secretary (Sekda) Nuryakin.

The fraud mode was first discovered by the management of a house of worship in West Kotawaringin Regency which was reported to Nuryakin.

"Warn the entire community to be vigilant and careful of the various modes of fraud at this time," said Regional Secretary Nuryakin in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Thursday, June 8, confiscated by Antara.

Nuryakin said that people are asked to be careful not to believe it by first finding out the truth of the information received if they get a tempting offer related to religious grant funds.

Furthermore, Nuryakin said the Legal Bureau of the Central Kalimantan Regional Secretary would follow up on this fraud mode with related parties.

"Observe the contents of the information, review and confirm through existing institutions. Currently, the fingers act faster than common sense. Regarding this problem, I ask the Legal Bureau of the Regional Secretariat to trace and follow up from the legal aspect in collaboration with related regional apparatus," said Nuryakin.

The fraudulent act was discovered after Mumin, Chairman of the Nurul Huda Mosque Management in Kumai District, West Kotawaringin Regency, clarified the offer of religious grant funds that took the name of a Central Kalimantan Provincial Government official by looking for the phone number of the Central Kalimantan Regional Secretary, Nuryakin.

The effort to clarify after checking grant funds at Bank Kalteng Kumai is known to have not entered, while his party has transferred a certain amount of money to certain parties on the orders of the person on behalf of the Regional Secretary Nuryakin.

Murimin explained that the chronology of the incident began with a direct telephone call by the person on behalf of the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan, Edy Pratowo, was then contacted by the person on behalf of the Regional Secretary, Nuryakin.

"First, he was contacted by a person who claimed to be Deputy Governor, Mr. Edy Pratowo, who said that the requirement for assistance grants for Surau Nurul Huda was complete. Then he said that the disbursement would be followed up by the Secretary of Nuryakin. The telephone number used was 0821392XXXX with a photo profile of the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan," he said.

He was called by someone who claimed to be the Secretary of Central Kalimantan, Nuryakin, with the number used 083845XXXXX. It was explained that he would follow up on the order of the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan, Edy Pratowo, to transfer it directly to the mosque management account.

"He asked for his full name, photo of my ID card and also account number. Not long after, I received a shipment via WA in the form of proof of transfer from Nuryakin's name to the account, on behalf of Surau Nurul Huda amounting to Rp28 million. According to his explanation that this is the first stage of transfer," said Murimin.

Murimin and Surau management strongly believe that they saw proof of transfer on behalf of the Regional Secretary, Nuryakin, and were grateful for the attention of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government.

Then Murimin was contacted, explained that in the transfer fund there was a deposit of Rp. 8,000,000.00 for urgent needs to help one of the orphanages in Pangkalan Bun for the operating costs of one of the orphanage children, and the funds had to be transferred immediately.

"He gave BRI's destination account number in the name of Mochamad Sofili, and without thinking I asked for help from the Surau treasurer, Pak Karim, to seek immediate transfer to the account. Then I sent proof of transfer to someone who claimed to be the Central Kalimantan Regional Secretary, and he thanked him for his support for the foundation," he said.
